What have you found that is working. What is backfiring??


I sincerely hope you AAL ladies are checking this out and PLEASE join in. It will help to know I&#39;m not goin&#39; it alone.

			<description><![CDATA[ Tamyra...it sounds like you and I headed down the same path. Great advice! I, too, got the whole preschool/pottytraining nudging because my son HAD to be
potty-trained in order to go to the preschool. I couldn&#39;t make him, so I opted to put him in the class with 18 month - 2.5 year olds (when he was 3.5) to
allow him to still get the preschool experience rather than hold him back and punish him for being a little slower than others to accomplish it. He LOVED that

			<description><![CDATA[ Hi Angie... I know how you&#39;re feeling. I had a neighbor who&#39;s son also held all poop until bedtime and then did his pooping. Hard to break that
pattern. Her pediatrician actually had her use an enema for her son. One enema was all it took for her son to stop saving the poop until bedtime. However, her
son was 5 when this happened. Your daughter is still rather young. You&#39;ve got time to work on the pooping....slowely...at her pace. My son poop trained at
4 years and 3 months....and... ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[ <p>My daughter turned 3 in April.  She has been pee trained for over a year.  She won&#39;t poop, except in a diaper.  It really is a control thing for her. 
She will poop when we put a diaper on at naptime, or bedtime.  Recently, for about a month, we kept her in panites for naptime- she stayed dry, and didn&#39;t
poop.  So she&#39;d poop at bedtime, or during the middle of the night, and wake up with horrible diaper rash.  Even with the diaper rash, she refuses to poop
on the potty.  Then... ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[ Luke was an amazing baby, once we figured out he was lactose intolerant. Super smart, cuddley, was ready to potty train at 18 months, rarely cried....I mean
just amazing all the way around. The type of baby that people with difficult children would say &quot;if I had just one like him I would have had a lot
more&quot;. We did, two more times. All of my kids are intelligent, Adam is by far the best behaved so far...Kathryn oddly enough, is my most mellow, Jason is

			<description><![CDATA[ I feel for you and I&#39;ve been there! I bought a treasure chest full of potty toys, maze books (which he loves!) and even promised him a poop party with
balloons/cake/ice cream....he just didn&#39;t care. It was control with him. The pull ups worked very well for me but they&#39;re not for everyone. Since
he&#39;s on medication for stool holding, there&#39;s no way in heck I&#39;d be cleaning anything like that off my carpets. The hole in the pull ups was
actually pure genius! It shocked... ]]></description>

My guy, Jason, is in the 2yr old room and he&#39;s officially 3 1/2. I think what is most frustrating is his twin sister is trained. I&#39;m working on the
timer right now. I also will not do pull ups. But when he poops  his pants I make him clean it up. put the poop in the toilet then take the plastic
pant/training pant and put it in the washing machine. All I do is wipe his hiney. When he pees on the floor he has to get a towel and &#39;clean it
up&#39;...of course... ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[ Let me start out my story by stating my son Matthew is probably a bit more difficult than the average child. He was born VERY colicky. All the books told me
colic should pass by 3-6 months, however, Matthew&#39;s didn&#39;t pass until 8 months. He&#39;s never been textbook at anything. He&#39;s more sensitive, more
high-strung, and needs more of a set schedule than the average kid. He&#39;s also not a fan of change in general. I&#39;ve always known that any time a big

			<description><![CDATA[ I&#39;m trying something new...crossing my fingers it works. I set the alarm on my cell phone. It&#39;s the &#39;potty&#39; alarm. It goes off every 20 minutes
(it&#39;s a countdown thing). When it goes off I tell Jason it&#39;s the &#39;potty&#39; alarm. Yesterday was &#39;mostly&#39; okay.

You may not like this, but.....

You need to ditch the pull ups unless it&#39;s overnight sleep. Jason called them &quot;diapers&quot; and I knew OIY it&#39;s a bad idea.
