Annie's been screaming since....oooh...well...since about an hour after dinner (we had barbeque ribs). My poor bean. I swear to God I'll never eat that stuff again if she'll just go to sleep! So last night I went to bed and I was having a little discomfort in my right breast, nothing major. I chalked it up to we have started Anabelle on solids and I'm trying to adjust. I gave him breast milk only up to 6 months, and then we started solids. At the same time I started working part-time, which meant he was not having any milk from 7am to 2pm. A week ago we realised that he had not put on any weight for the last month.

now it's red, hot, hard (just the nipple, not the rest) and swollen. I feel like @#%$ and I'd probably have a nice fever if I wasn't so doped up on Ibuprofen/tylenol for the pain.

Even with all that, I tried to nurse on that side...it lasted for all of half a second. It sent my entire body into convulsions and I'm still having needle pains shooting from my chest wall to my nipple, 10 minutes later. it's mostly Post-Nasal Drip with a bit of an irritated throat and a cough because of the irritation. I know from experience it's only going to get worse if I don't do something about it, but I don't know what I can or can't take.

Normally (when i'm not nursing and semi-co-sleeping) I'd take a benadryl and some robitussin expectorant right before bed for two or three nights in a row and feel 100% better by day three.....

At exactly 6 weeks I noticed that his stools were suddenly a mucousy, foamy, green. I took him to the ped. and she said that he had allergies. So I went off dairy, citrus, tomatoes, peanuts, tomatoes, and caffeine. It doesn't seem to have helped that much. I was reading on LLL website that those kinds of stools can be caused by not enough hindmilk. The twins have been fighting me on nursing for the past couple of weeks and have been only willing first thing in the morning for about 5minutes each. If I try later in the day I get bit. So, I'm taking my cue, and it sucks. This morning I decided it would be their last time and have been crying ever since. I thought since I made it to 8mo this time it would be easier, but ohh I was wrong.
